A fast cruiser-racer,
the Sigma 35 is a very comfortable cruiser when you are not racing.
They were never built in as great numbers as the Sigma 33s or 36s,
but are worth looking out for as a more modern alternative offering
really good performance. |

The Sigma 35 was designed in 1989/90 as a
larger version of the very successful Sigma
33, but with a more comfortable interior. To that end
the design was a collaboration between David Thomas, who drew
the hull form and rig, and Bill Dixon, who designed the interior.
The Sigma 35 is fast, particularly to windward, and the
interior is a nice compromise between pure cruising comfort
and seagoing practicality, for example long straight settee
berths with leecloths, and an L-shaped galley with good handholds.
