Alan Pape, of the Curtis & Pape boatyard
in Looe, Cornwall, designed the Ebbtide 33 and 36 yachts as
heavyweight cruisers, aimed very much at long-distance sailing.
Built of multi chine steel, with a short doghouse on a semi-flush
deck, and a transom-hung rudder, Ebbtides have been built
with sloop or cutter rigs, and some later boats had a slightly
taller rig. |
