The photos here are from both a Mk I and Mk II Griffon, the Mk II having more interior joinery work. The saloon
has a quarterberth and a settee berth to port, with the galley and
one more settee berth to starboard. The saloon table folds down
from a stowed position against the main bulkhead.
The heads compartment, with hanging locker opposite, separates saloon
and forecabin, which has a vee-berth. |

Most Griffons were fitted with the 13 hp Volvo MD7A diesel,
a sseen here, and these low-revving, heavy flywheel engines are
generally long-lived. Later boats were fitted with Bukh 20 hp
engines. By now some Griffons are being found with replacement
engines, often Yanmar or Beta.
