A well maintained Pegasus 800, Goonawarra 2 was commissioned in 1987 and has a lifting keel making it an ideal coastal hopping vessel with the ability to access shallow waters and bays.

A perfect vessel for cruising in the Falmouth estuary area with its numerous anchorages and beaches as well as interesting villages to explore. Other opportunities include the Helford River Estuary and other coastal towns further afield like Looe.

A perfect cruising starter vessel. The interior although compact benefits from a practical layout and will sleep 4/5.

Currently lying in Premier Marina Falmouth Cornwall, the vessel has been well maintained with annual engine checks and regular servicing. New sails, complete exterior paint job in 2014 keeping it in ship shape order.

Built from1977 to the early 1990s by Rydgeway Marine, and later by Pegasus Yachts, the Pegasus 800 was designed by Gordon Harris. Rydgeway's boat names mostly started with a P - ie Pandora, Pirate, Prospect, Prelude and the Pegasus 700, 800 and 1100 models.


The Pegasus 800 hull was offered with choices of fin keel, twin bilge keels or centreboard, and a number of options were offered for the interior. The rig has a narrow high aspect main, and a large overlapping genoa.

She is a moderately fast boat for her size, and when reviewed by 'Practical Boat Owner' they commented ".... her helm was always light, and she remained sensitive without being over

twitchy".
