A fast cruiser with enough speed to be a useful club racer, the Beneteau First 325 is an attractive yacht with good performance and handling. She has well finished cruising accommodation with a double aft cabin, a forward facing chart table, a good galley and a vee-double forecabin. Designed by Jean Berret, the Beneteau First 325 was introduced in 1985 as a replacement for the First 32. Like all the "First" series yachts from Beneteau, she was marketed as a fast family cruiser with racing potential. The design was regarded as fast and well-mannered.
The hull is single-skin GRP with a moulded inner liner, and the deck is balsa cored GRP.
The First 325 was offered with deep or standard fin keels.
The design remained in production until 1988/89, when it was replaced with the First 32s5 - the "S" designation referring to unusual Phillipe Starck designed interiors. |
