Brief details

LWL

Rig

7/8 fractional sloop

This is a true one-off, but a very good one indeed. The designer and builder Graham Roberts called her a 'Roberts 39', but this yacht has no relation to the more common Bruce Roberts design of the same name. She is a thoroughly modern fast cruiser with three good double cabins and a spacious and light saloon. Externally the hull is fully sheathed in GRP making long term maintenance little different from a GRP hulled boat.

Hull and rig

The hull is epoxy strip planked in cedar, and externally sheathed with biaxial GRP. Internally the varnished inner strip planking is a feature of the cabins, contrasting with the white bulkheads. She has a C-shaped saloon seating with a large linear galley opposite. There are three double cabins and two heads.

She has a substantial fractional sloop rig and a bowthruster.

The iron winged keel is bolted on with multiple S/S studs, and the engine is a Vetus (Mitsubishi based) diesel with shaft drive to a Featherstream feathering prop. The boat has been "post construction assessed" and RCD classified as Cat 'A' Ocean.
