The Westerly Falcon 34 is a solidly built, spacious cruiser with good accommodation and sailing performance. Although based on the same hull as the centre-cockpit Seahawk, the Falcon has a deeper aft cockpit and a much more spacious saloon. The Falcon has a good aft cabin with its own ensuite heads, and another heads forward. This is a bilge-keel version, allowing a wider choice of moorings and anchorages, with a good inventory including heating, radar etc. In the present ownership since 2006, she is for sale now because the owners work commitments are severely limiting time sailing.

Mast base and kicker

The mast and boom are Kemp, with an
add-on Selden Furlex in-mast reefing gear
and a Maxi-Roach vertically battened
furling mainsail. The rod kicker is also
Selden. A full set of Raymarine ST60+
instruments are at the hatch garage.

Below: The cockpit has a varnished teak
grating - not shown in some of these photos:
it is kept off the boat as she is stored
near a road and gets dirty quickly. There
is also a full cockpit "camper" cover
and dodgers - again these are off
the boat at present.

There is a very large and deep cockpit locker
to port, and a twin bottle vented gas locker
to starboard.

Ashore August 2019

The present owners bought her in 2006, and for a few years cruised her quite extensively in the Channel and around Ireland. She is for sale now as they currently do not have time to sail her. She offers a solid, comfortable cruising boat that can take the ground if needed, with a good level of equipment. Because of her storage location adjacent to a busy road, she quickly gets externally somewhat grimy, but under this is in generally very good order.
