This is one of the later Challenger 35s built by Trident Marine, that has been in the same family ownership from new in 1990. She is well equipped, with a good inventory including radar, Mikuni blown hot air heating and recent electronics. She has been re-engined with a 4-cylinder Beta diesel and fitted with a bowthruster within the last 10 years.

The Challenger 35 is one of three 35 foot designs by Angus Primrose for Trident Marine. The three designs share the same hull moulding, but have different deck mouldings and interiors. The Challenger 35 is a very traditional aft cockpit cruiser, the Warrior 35 has a centre cockpit layout, whilst the Voyager 35 has a large deck saloon.

These three designs were built by Trident Marine from around 1980 to the mid 1990s. The hull form is a classic long keel with cutaway forefoot, with very moderate draught and displacement and an excellent ballast ratio. Both the Challenger and Warrior versions have always been regarded as serious blue water capable cruisers.
