Bènèteau Oceanis 320 |
Brief details |
Builder |
Bènèteau, France |
The Oceanis 320 is the smallest of the first generation of Oceanis models, with the now familiar layout of separate aft heads and double aft cabin. Whilst the larger Oceanis models were designed to be either family cruisers or charter boats, this smallest version was aimed squarely at the family cruising market, and only ever had a single aft cabin. |

The Bènèteau Océanis 320 was introduced in 1987, as a smaller model to complement the existing larger Oceanis 350 and 430 models. These Oceanis models were to represent Beneteau's "cruising" range, with First models as the cruiser-racer series. The Oceanis 320 was designed by Phillippe Briand, and remained in production until around 1992.
About 350 of these Beneteau Oceanis 320s were built, all apparently tiller steered, and with the same interior layout, though it appears that there were three keel options, standard fin, bulbed fin and a shallow winged keel. This boat has the standard fin keel. The hull is GRP with an inner GRP lining, and the decks are balsa-cored with plywood core in stress areas. |
