DAS Yacht Center, Warsaw, Poland |
Rare in the UK, but
sold in some numbers in Europe, the Ocean 760 is an unusual trailer-sailer
with many clever design features, including a transom that drops
down to create a bathing platform aft. The interior is very nicely
finished, with attractive light woodwork, and has four berths including
a fairly large double berth aft, and an enclosed heads compartment.

Built in Poland from 1999 to 2003, the Ocean
760 is an unusual trailer-sailer, designed by Andrzej Skrzat,
who has also designed most of the Delphia range of yachts.
The hull has iron ballast laminated in, plus a weighted drop
keel, and is powered by an outboard in a cockpit well. The
rig is designed to be easily lowered, and the cabin coachroof
has a raisable 'pop-top' section to increase headroom to almost
6'. Even with the cabin top in its lowered position, saloon
headroom is 5' 5".
