This Bavaria 33 Cruiser is in the same ownership from new in March 2006. She has a good sized aft double cabin, and a spacious saloon and forecabin. She is generally in very good condition throughout: from the look of the interior she has clearly not had a hard life. When photographed the hull was about to be polished and antifouled, but as she was the hull condition looked good.

Sailplan

The Bavaria 33 Cruiser was introduced in 2005/6 as an update to the long-running Bavaria 32, which was actually almost 34' LOA. Both this and the earlier 32 were designed for Bavaria by J & J Designs. The main difference between this and the earlier 32 were a bit more beam, heavier displacement and a much lighter interior finish, all the previous Bavaria were quite dark inside with deep mahogany finished joinery. The 33 Cruiser was sold with options of standard or deep keels: the deep keel option being 6' 5". This yacht has the standard 5' 10" keel.

The Bavaria 33 Cruiser remained in production until 2008, although the similar but larger 35, 38, 40 and 43 foot models remained in production longer.

In 2013 Bavaria again introduced a 33-footer - the similarly named ( Bavaria Cruiser 33 ) but very different Farr-designed model that with slight changes is still in production. These have much "squarer" lines, both externally and in the interior joinery - which may well be this way as it is cheaper to build.
