Sailplan

The Beneteau Oceanis 37 was designed for Beneteau by Finot-Conq Associates, with interior styling from Milan-based Nauta Design. The Oceanis 37 was built from around 2006/7 to 2014. It replaced the previous Beneteau Oceanis 373 and was in turn replaced in 2014 by the Oceanis 37.1, which was very different, with a chined hull and twin wheels.

The Oceanis 37 has a GRP hull with inner mouldings, and balsa-cored deck. There were a choice of a deep or shallow bulbed fin keels, and either single or twin double aft cabins. This yacht has the larger single aft cabin, which also allows a substantially larger heads compartment and a large cockpit locker, which is absent in the double aft cabin versions. Apart from the basic boat, there were also a choice of 'Avantage' or 'Elegance' trim levels, the latter (as in this yacht) having a lot of upgrades from cockpit table to extra ports, plus many minor upgrades.
