This yacht is a later 1989 version of the Bill Dixon designed Moody 31 Mk II offering excellent sailing performance and cruising comfort. She has spacious accommodation for up to 6 including a good sized aft double cabin. This yacht's hull is epoxied and she has a good cruising inventory including Eberspacher heating, hot water, and instrumentation including B&G VHF and plotter, AIS receiver (all new 2021) and a Sea-Me radar target enhancer. She has had only 3 owners since new. The present owners have now purchased a larger yacht and are therefore keen to sell – hence the reduced asking price.

Designed by Bill Dixon, the Mk I Moody 31 was built from late 1983 to the end of 1985, at which time it was superseded by the Mk II, which was very similar, the main differences being the addition of a sugar scoop stern, and a change to a forward-facing chart table. This yacht for sale one of the later-built Mk IIs, which have a sugarscoop stern.

Production continued until 1991, by which time over 300 had been built in total. As standard the boats were tiller-steered, but a few had wheel steering fitted as an option. This yacht is tiller steered, which actually gives much more usable cockpit space than a wheel.

Unlike the earlier generation Moodys, which used a lot of exposed GRP and laminate, the Moody 31s have a fairly traditional and 'woody' interior.
